Our Dumyat Centre – A little history….
The Dumyat Centre was built to replace the old park pavilion in the early 90s and was run by Clackmannanshire Council, it housed the library and local Community Access Point office and a sports hall. Due to council cutbacks in 2018 the centre was marked for closure. Fortunately for Menstrie, a group of residents fought to save the centre. It has now been in the care of Menstrie Community Action Group (MCAG) for four years. In the beginning it was run by our volunteer board of members and a band of volunteers. After lots of hard work, passion and determination we are proud of “Our Dumyat Centre”. We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the past, the present and we welcome new support. Thank you.
